2.3 - Examples of the second group
According to Buddhism and some forms of Hinduism, the universe was always there and will never end.

The Mayan, on the contrary, believed that the universe is born only to die after 5,000 years to be reborn again and again.

According to the Viking Norse legends, on the Final Day of the earth (Ragnarok, the Twilight of the God there will be a catastrophic upheaval. The earth as well as the Heaven will be subjected to bad frost, strong wind, blizzards, earthquakes and famine. A lot of people will perish. Wolves will eat the sun and the moon, and the earth will be in darkness. The stars will fall, the earth will tremble and the mountains will collapse. The God of Chaos, Loki, will spread war, confusion and discord all over the world. As the good Gods die, the Evil God Surtur will breathe fire that will engulf heaven and earth. The entire universe will be in flame, the earth will sink into the ocean, and time will stop. But, out of the ashes, a new beginning will emerge, as a new earth will come out of the sea.
